About You:

You are a dynamic and passionate individual with a deep love for sports. You engage actively with sports either by participating, following events, or consuming sports-related content. Your enthusiasm for sports is matched by your expertise in digital community management, particularly on platforms like TikTok and WhatsApp. You thrive in creative environments and are adept at fostering engaging communities. Experience in the sports industry, while not mandatory, will be considered a strong asset.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Community Manager to manage and energize digital communities on TikTok and WhatsApp Broadcast Channel. This role requires an experienced individual who is familiar with digital community trends and tools, and understands the sports community’s dynamics. You will be exclusively managing the online communities of one of our esteemed clients while being an integral part of the Hoopers team. You will report directly to the Project Management Officer (PMO) who will guide your work and help you align with the broader marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies for TikTok and WhatsApp that resonate with sports fans, mainly focused on basketball
  • Post and manage all content creation around two key local handles of the client
  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to user interactions on both platforms, ensuring a vibrant and positive community environment.
  • Create sports-themed content that resonates with our community and adheres to the brand voice of the client.
  • Analyze performance metrics to continually optimize community engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to integrate community feedback into broader marketing strategies.
  • Organize and participate in online and offline events to boost community engagement.
  • Work under the guidance of the PMO to ensure projects align with the overall marketing and communication goals.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in community management or related fields, demonstrating a successful track record of growing and engaging online communities.
  • Proficiency in using social media scheduling and management tools focused on basketball communities, such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social or others, is essential. Experience with social media monitoring and listening tools is required to effectively track engagement and audience sentiment.
  • Familiarity with content creation and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is crucial, with the ability to step in and create content independently being a significant plus. Although a dedicated Art Director will handle most design tasks, the ability to produce basic graphics and edit content will ensure continuity in content delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret reports from social media analytics platforms to drive strategic decisions and improve engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in sports or related fields is preferred, with a strong understanding of the dynamics and engagement strategies pertinent to sports communities.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as this role requires constant interaction with the community and coordination with different team members to ensure cohesive message delivery.
  • Independent contractor with a registered business entity capable of invoicing Hoopers for services rendered.
Working Conditions:
  • This position will operate on a hybrid work model, requiring some days at the client’s office (São Paulo, capital) and other days working from home.
  • Must be prepared to issue invoices as a registered business (PJ).
Start Date:
  • The expected start date for this position is October
