SPORTS PARTNERSHIPS DIRECTOR, LATAM

OVERVIEW: Working within Sportradar's global Sports Partnerships team, the Sports Partnerships Director, will be responsible for owning, managing and coordinating the company's existing betting and media rights relationships with sports organisations and identifying and delivering new rights and business opportunities. The role demands a forward-thinking, commercially focused and strategic-minded professional with superior relationship building and account management skills. This person will also have the credibility and authority to process, handle and resolve complex issues, dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
THE CHALLENGE:
  • Actively oversee and manage relationships with Sportradar's sports partners at a senior executive level;
  • Responsibility and direct ownership for performance of the partnerships against relevant commercial metrics and KPIs;
  • Oversight of the Partner Product Roadmap, leveraging internal stakeholders/teams to define, track and execute this strategy;
  • Ensure workflows and tasks relating to partner rights deals are actioned in a timely and professional manner and that partners are regularly updated on progress;
  • Drive coordination of activities of Sportradar internal teams (e.g. product, legal, operations) to manage workflow of rights partnerships and to respond to partner queries;
  • Identify, monitor and secure new betting and media rights/licences as well as other business opportunities with sports rights holders in LATAM;
  • Monitor financial performance of relevant partnerships on an ongoing basis and take action to ensure partnerships are meeting relevant KPIs;
  • Foster and grow Sportradar's network of relationships across the sports, media and betting industries in the US, representing Sportradar in both public and private contexts.
YOUR PROFILE:
  • The ideal candidate has 7 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the professional sports industry, preferably with direct experience of working at, or with, major sports organisations;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, marketing, sports management), or equivalent experience;
  • An experienced and astute operator with a proven track record of managing relationships with sports leagues/sports organizations or other complex organizations;
  • A detailed understanding of the sports ecosystem including the political, legislative and economic landscape and particularly in relation to data and audio-visual content and how such content is commercialized;
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with extensive public speaking experience and the ability to understand and articulate complex concepts;
  • High level of financial and commercial literacy with the ability to process and evaluate complex financial information to underpin sound business judgments
  • Strong organizational, issue resolution, and decision-making skills
  • Capable of relating to senior executives as well as operational teams while deploying facts, finesse or force, as required;
  • Ability to successfully navigate Sportradar's matrixed organizational structure while delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Strong project management capabilities, particularly managing customer-facing teams and coordinating resources across multiple locations;
  • Strong track record of service focus and delivery against objectives;
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously using sound judgment to make difficult business decisions when necessary;
  • Highly developed relationship management capability, ability to read people and situations, adapting personal style where necessary;
  • Strong proficiency in all MS Office products;
  • Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and able to work to tight deadlines;
